MasterClass Studio teen acting course: January 2027 intake in Bangkok
Spotlight on MasterClass Studio's Fundamentals of Acting for teens aged 12-17: Saturdays from 9 January 2027 in Chatuchak, early-bird rate to 30 November.
MasterClass Studio’s Fundamentals of Acting for Teens, a 12-week teen acting course in Bangkok for ages 12 to 17, starts on Saturday 9 January 2027 at the studio on Ladprao Soi 25 in Chatuchak. The course page gives the run as 9 January to 4 April 2027, with classes from 12:00 to 15:00. Its super early-bird rate of 21,000 baht is available until 30 November 2026.
What it is
The course is a beginner-friendly introduction to acting that ends in a live showcase. The studio’s homepage describes MasterClass Studio as an international acting studio and production house, and lists courses for teens and adults, Acting for Film and Advanced Acting Techniques, alongside showreel and headshot services and a talent roster.
According to the course page, the 12 weeks are split into three months. Month one, “Human Essences”, covers what the studio calls the actor’s instrument (sensory work, relaxation and emotional access) and a first monologue. Month two moves to dialogue, improvisation and students writing their own short scenes, and in week eight each student chooses a classical or modern script for the showcase.
Month three is rehearsal, blocking and staging, ending with a performance for an invited audience of family and friends. The studio says students receive footage of their scene for an acting reel and a MasterClass Studio certificate.
Who it is for
The course is for teenagers aged 12 to 17, and the page marks it as suitable for beginners. Classes take a maximum of 12 students.
The studio says the curriculum was created by Warunya Soontorntae, its Creative Director and Head of Youth Program, and that Robin Schroeter, Managing Director and acting coach, leads every session. The page says he has taught the curriculum since 2018 and lists screen credits including The Creator and Netflix’s The Serpent; an assistant teacher or videographer may also attend.
The homepage says the teen programme has run for nine generations of students, and the January group will be the tenth. Adults have a separate Fundamentals of Acting course on Saturday evenings from the same date.

How to apply
Places are booked online through the studio’s registration page or the teen course page, with either full payment or instalments. The studio does not offer trial classes, but it lists a free 30-minute online consultation with Robin Schroeter for families with questions.
New students can join up to the fourth session; after that, they join the next intake. A waitlist form for later teen groups is on the course page.
What makes it distinctive, in the studio’s own words
The course page names the studio’s own rehearsal method, the CARBOMB system, which it describes as Robin Schroeter’s proprietary approach. The letters stand for Conflict, Action, Reaction, Believing, Objective, Motivation and Being, and the system shapes the second and third months of the course.
The studio frames its teen teaching around honesty rather than performance tricks. The course page says it does not teach teens to fake emotion, and that it aims to give them “a safe space to explore the truth”. On its about page, the studio states: “Great acting isn’t about putting on a mask; it’s about taking one off.”
The same page says the studio wants to bridge the gap between training and the industry, and that its aim is to develop better people as well as better actors.
