Love of Siam musical: Gemini and Fourth lead GMMTV's first stage show

The Love of Siam The Musical, the first stage production from GMMTV, runs in December at Muangthai Rachadalai Theatre in Bangkok, with Gemini Norawit and Fourth Nattawat as Tong and Mew, the two leads of the 2007 Thai film. The cast opened the rehearsal room to more than a hundred journalists at the end of October, Thai Post reported. The run is listed as 11 to 25 December.

From the film to the stage

Thai Post reports that Sahamongkol Film International and the film’s director and writer, Chookiat Sakveerakul, are working with GMMTV on the adaptation. Off Noppanut Chaiwimol directs the musical.

At the press preview the cast performed the opening number, “Pathways”, a band rehearsal scene, a section built around “Ninety-Nine Percents” and a scene with “รู้กันเกินพอ”, a song that is not in the film version.
