Gozen Arts: singing, dance and musical theatre for kids in Bangkok

Gozen Arts teaches singing, dance and acting to ages 4-17 in Ari and on Rama 9: monthly DanSing groups, an original-musical course and private lessons.

Gozen Arts, a performing arts school in Bangkok, teaches singing, dance and acting to children and teenagers aged 4 to 17 at two campuses, in Ari and on Rama 9. Its courses range from four-week singing-and-dance modules that start every month to musical theatre classes for children built around an original show written for each cast. This spotlight sets out what each course involves, using only the school’s own website and posts.

Classes are taught mainly in English, with Thai support from bilingual teachers when needed, according to the school’s FAQ. Fees are not published on the site; families ask for them through the school’s LINE account.

Two campuses: Ari and Rama 9

The Ari campus is at Saki Studio, which the school says is a three-minute walk from BTS Ari exit 3 and has parking. The Rama 9 campus is inside Bravo BKK, which the site describes as a creative hub with parking and expressway access.

Private lessons can also take place at home. The school lists the areas its visiting teachers cover: Thonglor, Rama 9, Rama 2, Rama 3, Ram Khamhaeng, Sukhumvit 26, Sukhumvit 71, Ekkamai, Sathorn, Ari and Bangna.

DanSing: singing and dance in four weeks

DanSing combines vocals with full-body movement. Each four-week module ends with students performing a pop or musical theatre song routine, and parents are invited to a mini-showcase in week four.

There are three age groups: Mini DanSing for ages 4-7, Junior DanSing for 8-12 and Teen DanSing for 13-17. New groups start every month, the page lists both campuses, and the school gives start dates on request. Adults and private groups are pointed to its custom courses, which it runs for groups of three or more.

Musical theatre with an original script

The musical theatre course is for ages 5-17. Each term, playwrights and directors write a new musical for that cast, and it is performed once. Every student is auditioned, roles are written for the lead students, and each lead student gets at least one solo song.

A cycle is 20 hours: 4 hours of one-to-one coaching on voice, solo lines and confidence, which can be booked after school, at weekends or online, and 16 hours of group rehearsals at weekends. Students may attend both weekend days at no extra cost, and the school says the writer and director take part in every lesson.

The course page describes the fee as all-inclusive, with no separate production fee, and lists a costume to keep, meals during weekend sessions (the FAQ mentions halal, vegetarian and allergy-safe options) and a professional recording of the show, edited into a 4K video for portfolios. Students can also audition for the Gozen Scholarship.

Private lessons and exams

Private lessons cover singing, acting and dance, and are planned around each student’s goal. The school names exam preparation for Trinity College London (drama and music), RAD (ballet) and LAMDA, and preparation for international school auditions, including monologue choice, the spoken introduction known as a slate, portfolio videos and interviews.

The school says its visiting teachers are background-checked and trained in its safeguarding procedures. Siblings who take lessons back to back get a discount; the amount is not stated.

The teachers

The faculty page names four teachers: Yanika Gozen, head of musical theatre and vocal faculty, a classical performance graduate of Mahidol University; Hathai Yoopensuk, senior vocal coach, from Silpakorn University’s Faculty of Music; Piyakarn Phaopan, junior vocal coach and senior dance teacher, from Silpakorn University’s commercial music programme; and Natasha Pirom, pronunciation teacher and vocal coach, a musical theatre vocal performance graduate of Mahidol University.

For schools: after-school programmes

For 2026/27 the school offers after-school programmes to international schools, with Gozen Arts providing the curriculum and teachers and the school providing the space. The list includes pop and a cappella groups, show choir, DanSing, musical theatre, acting for the stage, early-years music and dance, and bespoke courses such as a six-week glee club.
