Nutcracker ballet in Bangkok: Cala Dance Studio's 5 December show
Spotlight on Cala Dance Studio, the EmQuartier school staging The Nutcracker at Aksra Theatre on 5 December 2026: who it teaches and how to get in touch.
Cala Dance Studio, a dance school on the second floor of EmQuartier on Sukhumvit Road, will stage a Nutcracker ballet in Bangkok on Saturday 5 December 2026 at Aksra Theatre. The studio announced the production on its official Facebook page as its Annual Ballet Performance, which it says it holds only once every two years. Show times, ticket prices and booking details had not been published when we checked on 6 November 2026, so they are to be announced.
What it is
The Nutcracker is the studio’s student production for 2026. In its announcement, Cala Dance Studio describes the weeks of rehearsal ahead as a journey of preparation, and says the show is meant to give its students an unforgettable experience on stage.
The studio presents the performance as a milestone for the dancers taking part. It says the production helps students build confidence, discipline and teamwork, and leaves them with memories they will keep for years.
Because the cast are the studio’s own students, this is a school performance rather than a touring professional production. We have not used or embedded any photos or videos of the young dancers.

Who the studio teaches
Cala Dance Studio lists itself on Facebook as a dance school. Its page says it teaches ballet, contemporary dance, jazz dance and K-pop for children, and yoga, stretching and ballet for adults.
The studio has also posted a weekly timetable for grown-ups. Adult ballet runs every Tuesday from 11:00 to 12:00, and adult Latin dance every Thursday from 12:00 to 14:00. The post says no experience is needed for either class.
Ages, levels and fees for the children’s classes are not listed on the page. Families interested in the ballet school’s term classes should ask the studio directly.
How to book or enquire
For the Nutcracker, the studio had not yet posted a ticketing link or price. Watch the Cala Dance Studio Facebook page for the show time and seating details, or send the studio a message there.
For adult classes, the studio’s post asks new students to scan a QR code in the post to book. The page also lists a phone number and a Message button for general questions about classes.
What makes it distinctive, in the studio’s own words
The studio stresses that its full-scale ballet production is not a yearly event. It says the Annual Ballet Performance is “a special production held only once every two years”. This year the studio has chosen The Nutcracker for that production.
For adults, Cala frames its classes around movement and confidence. Its timetable post describes adult ballet as a way to work on posture, strength and balance at any experience level, and Latin dance as a chance to learn new rhythms and express yourself. The post ends by describing Cala as a place where movement turns into confidence.
