Drama classes for kids in Bangkok: musical theatre, camps, prices

Weekly drama classes, holiday camps, workshops and exam classes for children and teens in Bangkok, in English and Thai, with ages and published prices.

Families looking for drama classes for kids in Bangkok can choose between weekly terms, week-long holiday camps, one-off workshops and private exam coaching, taught in English, Thai or both. This guide, checked on 6 November 2026 and updated on 7 November, lists 11 providers, Gozen Arts first (see the note at the end) and the rest in alphabetical order, with the ages, format, language and area each one states, and prices only where the provider publishes them.

It is not a ranking. For the wider picture of performing arts schools, dance and university courses, see our guide to performing arts schools in Bangkok; this page is about the class formats open to children and teenagers.

The providers

Gozen Arts. Teaches singing, dance and acting to ages 4-17, mainly in English with Thai support, at two campuses: Ari, at Saki Studio, which its site places a three-minute walk from BTS Ari exit 3, and Rama 9, inside Bravo BKK. Its DanSing course runs in four-week modules for ages 4-7, 8-12 and 13-17, ends with a mini-showcase for parents in week four and starts new groups every month.

Its musical theatre course for ages 5-17 combines 4 hours of private coaching with 16 hours of weekend group rehearsals for an original musical written for each cast; every student is auditioned, every lead student gets at least one solo song, and each show is professionally recorded. Private lessons in singing, acting and dance, at a campus or at home, cover Trinity College London, RAD and LAMDA exam preparation and school auditions. Fees are not published; families enquire through LINE. gozen-arts.com

Weekly classes or a camp?

A weekly term suits a child who wants steady progress with the same group. A holiday camp packs rehearsal into one school break and usually ends with a show; Curtain Up’s camps close with a Friday performance for families. Intensives such as MasterClass Studio’s teen course sit between the two and end with a live showcase.

Exam classes

Two providers on this list state exam preparation. Gozen Arts names Trinity College London, RAD and LAMDA preparation as part of its private lessons. Curtain Up says its LAMDA classes prepare students for graded examinations in areas such as acting, speaking in public and verse and prose, in private or shared lessons arranged with the instructor.

Thai-language options

Families who want classes in Thai have three clear routes: The Drama Academy for acting, the Kukrit Institute for Thai classical dance-drama, and the Bangkok Youth Centre and Star Maker for singing and dance.

Questions to ask before you book

  • What language is the class taught in? Several sites do not say.
  • How many children are in each group, and how many teachers?
  • Is there a show, and does every child get a part? Ask about costume or showcase fees.
  • What does the price include? Ask about trial classes, missed sessions and refunds.
  • Who teaches, and do they have child-safeguarding training?
  • For exams: which board, which grade, and where is the exam held?

Where to see young performers on stage

Watching a show helps a child decide. Our guide to free and cheap Bangkok Theatre Festival 2026 shows lists low-cost performances by weekend. More classes and camps appear in our Arts & Learning section.

Disclosure: BKK News 24 has a business connection with Gozen Arts, which is why it is listed first. Its entry, like every other entry here, uses only facts from the school’s own website and posts.
