How to choose

For a full-length classical production, the khon “Sida” at the Thailand Cultural Centre is the week’s biggest stage show. Public performances run on weekends, plus one extra evening show on Wednesday 11 November. Children under five are not admitted, and student shows are for students aged 25 or under.

For a shorter taste of khon, the Hanuman Show at Sala Chalermkrung lasts 25 minutes and runs three times each weekday afternoon. At the BACC, the Biennale performance and Poetry Live are free-form events; neither page lists an admission price, so check before going.
