Thai BL series guide 2026: what to watch and where

Thai BL series in 2026 are on free TV, on streamers and on the studios’ own YouTube channels, and four of them have new episodes this week. GMMTV’s Lovers & Gangsters airs every Friday at 20.30 on One31, iQIYI’s Fool in Love streams on Thursdays and Fridays, and GMMTV’s Good Boy Series and Mandee Work’s Mr. Fanboy continue at the weekend. This guide lists 11 titles with their official leads, platform and status, checked on 6 November on each studio’s or streamer’s own uploads.

Airing now: Lovers & Gangsters and Fool in Love

Lovers & Gangsters is a period series set in 2499 BE (1956). In GMMTV’s synopsis, Hong Sen (Force Jiratchapong) runs the Kao Yod gang on the Thonburi bank and Seng (Great Sapol) runs the Khluk Fun gang in Phra Nakhon, and an old grudge sets the two sides against each other. Love grows between Hong Sen and Seng’s younger brother Yong (Book Kasidet), and between Seng and So (Bright Rapheephong), a gang newcomer.

The series is directed by Kanyakorn Navarat and airs on One31 every Friday at 20.30, with catch-up on the oneD app from 21.30.

Fool in Love is an iQIYI Original adapted from a Chinese web novel by Shui Qiancheng; its Chinese title is Ni Que Ai Zhe Yi Ge Ta. Ing, the proud heir to Araya Group, meets Yok, heir to an old-money family, through Ing’s half-brother Itt, and keeps finding business reasons to see him. He does not know that he is walking into a trap Yok has set. The uncut version streams every Thursday and Friday at 20.00, only on the iQIYI app and iq.com.

Weekend titles: Good Boy Series and Mr. Fanboy

GMMTV’s Good Boy Series is a second-chance fantasy. Jirapat (Mick Metas) dies at 30 with regrets and wakes up aged 17, determined to live better, and finds himself close again to Ruth (Luke Peemsan), the student president who was his childhood friend. It airs every Sunday at 20.30 on GMM25, and Viu has each episode first for streaming from 21.30.

Mandee Work’s Mr. Fanboy follows Wan (Save Worapong), a devoted fan of the actor Nine (James Supamongkon), who lands a role in the same series as his idol. On set he has to deal with Third (AuAu Thanaphum), and the safe distance between fan and star starts to break down. Full episodes are posted on the studio’s Mandee Channel on YouTube, and the teaser for episode 11 went up on 6 November.

Already out in 2026: five series to catch up on

Duang With You opened Mandee Work’s year on 31 January: Duang (TeeTee Wanpichit), a decorative-arts student, sets out to win over Qin (Por Suppakarn), a music student who keeps to himself. It ran on One31 on Saturdays, with the uncut version on iQIYI, and iQIYI lists 12 episodes. GMMTV’s A Dog and A Plane paired Tay Tawan as Toto, the head of a rescue team, with New Thitipoom as Kanit, a flight attendant whose bag gets swapped with Toto’s; it began on 29 May on One31 and TrueVisions NOW.

WEIRDO-101 is a school story about Niran (Keen Suvijak), a laid-back judo athlete, and Cheewa (Sea Dechchart), a genius from the astronomy club who courts him in his own direct way; its last episode aired on 16 October. Unlucky Bae casts Mac Nattapat as Rin, from a family of fortune-tellers, whose misfired curse lands on Khopfah (Tham Tupthong); Netflix carries it worldwide.

You Maniac, on GMM25, ended on 31 October. William Jakrapatr plays Dean, a charmer who sets out to win over Moth (Est Supha), an artist who could not care less, as a favour to a friend; Barcode Tinnasit and Kin Thanachai play the second couple. Viu’s remake Make It Right 2026, produced by Copy A Bangkok, also finished its 12 episodes in October and streams in full on Viu.

Coming soon: TIMEZONE, Payback and GMMTV’s 2027 slate

iQIYI posted two teasers on 6 November. TIMEZONE is a school series about Time, a rule-breaking student, and Zone, the strict student president who catches him skipping class, played by Pie-R Phiphit and Amas Phiwphum. Payback Special Episode brings back Toptap Jarukit and Minlee Thanakorn from Payback, as Sun pursues his dream of acting. Both are marked “coming soon” on iQIYI and iq.com, with dates to be announced.

GMMTV showed its 2027 line-up at its GMMTVNEXT: Generation Happy showcase this week and has posted the trailers on its YouTube channel. Casts, platforms and start dates for those titles are to be announced, so they are not in the table yet.

What is Thai BL? A short guide for newcomers

BL, short for boys’ love, is a genre of romance series centred on a relationship between two male leads. Some, like Fool in Love, are adapted from web novels, and the range is wider than the label suggests: school stories such as WEIRDO-101, period drama (Lovers & Gangsters), fantasy (Good Boy Series) and romance with a scheming twist (Fool in Love). As with any romance series, the appeal is the story, the characters and the music, and the leads are actors playing roles.

Most of the series in this guide run 10 to 12 episodes, one or two a week, often with a TV broadcast first and a streaming or uncut version an hour later. GMMTV and Mandee Work release the soundtracks on their music channels, GMMTV Records and DMD Music.
