The first Eurovision Song Contest Asia holds its grand final in Bangkok on Saturday 14 November at One Bangkok Forum, with 11 countries competing and the show starting at 20:30 Bangkok time. Thailand is represented by MANG x DAOU, and Channel 3 shows the final live in Thailand while the organisers stream it worldwide on YouTube. A preview show takes place at the same venue the night before.

The European Broadcasting Union named Bangkok as host city of the new contest in March. As in the European original, the result is decided half by professional juries and half by the public vote.

The 11 entries

The organisers list one act per country, each chosen in a national selection. Song titles below are as reported when the line-up was announced in September.

Country Artist Song
Bangladesh Beatmosphere Tumi ele
Bhutan Nyendra Lhayi semo
Cambodia Monetrey I Let You Go
Laos Thinla Bae
Malaysia Aina Abdul Bluest Sky
Mongolia Beck Chamguigeer (Without You)
Nepal Pratik Himal Rai Ananta maya
Philippines Carmelle Sobra-Sobra
South Korea Junhee Deep Dive
Thailand MANG x DAOU Aroma
Vietnam Tóc Tiên Em Tiên

Thailand’s song, Aroma, is sung in Thai. The official site also lists two guest performers: DARA, the reigning winner of the European contest, and Delta Goodrem, who will sing songs from the Asian contest in their original languages.

How to watch in Thailand

The final starts at 20:30 on Saturday 14 November (14:30 in central Europe). In Thailand it airs live on Channel 3, and the organisers stream it live on YouTube for viewers anywhere.

Each competing country has its own broadcaster. The official schedule lists VTV3 in Vietnam, Sabay in Cambodia, VTE9 in Laos, TV3 in Malaysia, ALLTV and A2Z in the Philippines, ENA in South Korea, NTV in Bangladesh, BBS in Bhutan, Himalaya TV in Nepal and MNC in Mongolia. Viewers in countries without an entry can also vote, and their votes are combined into one set of points.

Tickets and the preview show

Tickets for the grand final and for the preview show on Friday 13 November, also at 20:30, are sold through the official Eurovision Song Contest Asia ticket page. The page gives no prices, so check them in the queue before buying. One Bangkok Forum is part of the One Bangkok development on Witthayu Road.
